About the hotel
Hyde Park Gardens Mews is a beautifully appointed corner Mews house which accommodates six people in one of the most desirable Mews addresses of West London and which has the advantage of no passing traffic as it is tucked away in a quiet part of the Hyde Park Estate. The property provides a quality and better value alternative to hotel accommodation for both leisure and business breaks. It is an ideal and flexible option for families bringing young children to London to see the sights or a show.
As is typical with all Mews houses, the property started life in the late 1700 as a coach house and stables, with servants quarters above and it is thought to have been converted to a mews house in the early 1900's. The property once served the large stucco fronted houses which overlook Hyde Park. Please note that this property requires full payment along with a security deposit of £250 8 weeks prior to arrival. If the booking is taken within the 8 weeks prior to arrival then full payment is required upon booking. On booking then photo identification and a photo of the credit card used to make the reservation will need to be provided before the booking is confirmed. As a result of having problems with people trying to book our property using stolen credit cards we require sight of passport identification prior to confirming your booking which needs to correspond to the name on the card used to confirm your booking. We will also carry out other identity checks and our Housekeeper will meet you at the property upon your arrival and will only hand the keys over to the person whose photograph appears on that passport. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point during your stay it appears that you are using the property as a party location or if you have more guests staying than the bed capacity.

This is purely a moneymaking enterprise for the owner of garden mews.
The place is unloved, shabby, outdated and many things are broken. When we arrived we discovered one of the put up beds was broken, I called the agent, eventually they sent an air bed which was left outside of the property, no pump. I called the agent back who said I shoul blow it up. After replying I would not blow it up, the agent became angry and said there was nothing else he could do and gave me the owners number. The owner was completely disinterested and said he would get a better put up bed to us the following day. All in all a terrible way to treat guests, look around else where before you book this property.
Disappointing and Embarrasing
I stayed here on the 22/09/14 for 3 nights.
This accommodation was booked for 8 adults as clearly described in the advert from the company i used. The accommodation can only house 6 adults (3 double bedrooms only) therefore we had a family member sleeping in the utility room on a camp bed that kept breaking (very poor quality) and a member sleeping in the garage on some bunk beds where i had to purchase extra bedding.
The dining table only had 6 chairs, the dishwasher was broken, the iron was not fit for purpose and of the 3 showers advertised only one worked properly. The towels were in a poor condition. The whole accommodation was in a shocking state and was not value for money. The holiday was booked to accommodate meeting family from overseas in London and the condition of the house along with the lack of beds was embarrassing so much so my father started attempting to fix some of the faults including the cupboard door in the kitchen, lighting and the showers, the ceiling in the kitchen was also a mess. The house was dirty and not what i would expect for the price we paid and we would have been more comfortable in the hotel around the corner. I did text the contact number and notify them of the issues but got no response. Although the location was good the accommodation clouded that.
