Situated just off the A92, and with many nearby public transport links, we are within easy reach of Angus, Fife, Perthshire, and the rest of Scotland. We are less than 2 miles away from both Dundee Train Station and Seagate Bus Station and local buses service the surrounding area of the hotel.

Nearby attractions include both the St Andrews Old Course and Carnoustie Golf Links which are both around a 20 minute drive from the hotel. Attractions within Dundee are even more easily accessible and include RRS Discovery, the Mills Observatory and Sensation Science Centre as well as many more. Rooms at the Dundee Carlton are either currently under renovation and refurbishment or have been newly finished in order to create a spacious, light and calm atmosphere for your stay with us. We have a range of different rooms available, including twin rooms for friends, doubles and kings for couples, and larger family rooms which can accommodate 3 or 4 people. Our superior rooms boast views over the River Tay and of Broughty Ferry Castle as well as separate seating areas for you to relax in. All of our rooms are en-suite with either a shower or shower/bath combination and also include flat screen TVs with FreeView channels, complimentary toiletries and drink making facilities. As well as all of this the Dundee Carlton Hotel also offers access to Sunny’s Restaurant and takeaway. Here not only can you enjoy many different types of food such as curries, kebabs and pizzas, but can do so at discounted prices available only for guests of the hotel.

Very helpful and pleasant staff on arrival.

Room was reasonably clean but as it is an old building the floors were very slanted and wobbly. Furniture dated. The room was warm but the bathroom was positively glacial. We did get breakfast the first morning, which was included in the price, but had to fight to get something on the next 2 mornings as the staff had not been informed that we needed breakfast.

Lack of communication, even although we confirmed this with 2 members of staff. Probably due to some booking sites including breakfast and others not.

Overall it was Ok but I would not rush back.

Eastern Dundee

Although the room had been refurbished, there was no blind on the window.

I reported that the foot on the club chair needed repair. Value for money . Unusual to have an Indian restaurant attached.
