Great views

We selected this hotel based on information on was not very clean and had cobwebs in the bedroom and was very dusty, the bathroom was not clean and behind the door was filthy. The restaurant was not open and food was served in the bar area where dogs are welcome, not ideal although the the food we had was good. The only thing that was great was the view.

We thought we had booked B and B because there was nothing that said room only, however we were charged extra for breakfast so make sure you book direct as breakfast would be free.

A beautiful Yorkshire Evening

We stayed here as it was conveniently located for a wedding reception we attended locally.

The owner was extremely pleasant and laid back and he showed us to our room. We were the last guests to check in that evening and that was the cause of our only disappointment during our stay. We had booked a double room and we were allocated a twin room, 10 minutes of furniture rearranging and the problem was sort of solved, however it would have been nice not to have had to do that. However the beer was excellent, the company was good later in the evening and the breakfast was fantastic next morning.

If your looking for a pleasant country inn with a good atmosphere and good grub then i'd heartily recommend the Alma. We'll visit again at some stage.
