About the hotel

The Tormaukin is an 18th-century country inn situated in the village of Glendevon near Gleneagles in Perthshire. With its beamed rooms, open fires and wooden floors, it's a retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban living, where you can be sure of the warmest welcome and the most delicious locally sourced food - with succulent Highland beef and wild boar likely to be among the culinary highlights of your stay. The Tormaukin is the perfect choice if you need to get away from it all.

It's hard to imagine a more perfect retreat nestling in the peaceful Perthshire countryside. Yet, it's only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh and close to both Stirling and Perth. The hotel is the perfect base from which to explore all that this beautiful area of Scotland has to offer, from historic buildings such as Scone Palace to some of the finest golf courses in the country, as well as one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, Tullibardine in Blackford. The area also boasts some excellent fly fishing and walking opportunities. £10 charge for pets per night.

Perfect Stop Off to the Highlands

If your tick list includes stunning food, well stocked bar, very comfortable rooms and thee most relaxing lounge area, then you are in for a treat.

If i had to be picky then i'd say the showers could be better but it all works and the rooms are very comfortable.

Very welcoming staff (3 of us arrived on motorbikes) and ther is everything you would need for a relaxing stay. If you are coming to see the delights of Scotland then you need to add this hotel to your list of "must stays"

Will definitely be back. Thank you

Nice Hotel

Great location if you like walking, lots of lovely walks in surrounding countryside.

Hotel is old so don't expect a mega modern room, nice beams on ceiling and and old worldly look about the place, room was clean and bed was very comfy and nice white fresh bed linen, my only gripe about the room was the shower, it was a nightmare, trickle of water. Restaurant was brilliant, evening meals were excellent, great choice and nicely presented. Staff were good, very helpful, I asked for packed lunches for a long walk we had planned, nothing was too much bother
