Hotel Majestic

The hotel front is not a welcome sight to travellers, in fact my heart sank, the reception area is dark and dismal as are the corridors and rooms.

The greeting on arrival was lovely, such a friendly and helpful lady. The rooms are in need of a desperate makeover, but very clean and the bed was comfy. The window nets were filthy which was strange considering everything was spotless, but that could have been because of the ill-fitting windows which would let street dust through, the noise was dreadful. I thought the window was open it was that bad, I did notice some scaffolding and some rooms had new windows, unfortunately not our two rooms and i didnt sleep well because of it. Plenty of tea and coffee equipment, replenished if needed, the bathroom and towels are excellent quality, very modern. The breakfast was top notch served by lovely staff, previous night forgiven after such a plentiful meal. Fruit, yogurts, juices, cereals, full English or own choice, sometthing on toast if required. If and when the hotel has a makeover to brighten it up and the windows are sorted out, it will be a fabulous place to stay and I and my family will definitely come back. I have scored on that proviso below.
