We had a lovely experience at the Old Station House.
Michelle, the owner, immediately makes you feel very welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We had a lovely room - it was her standard room but there were lots of little extras. The bathroom was wonderful. Beautiful big bath, which is always a bonus for me. Lovely fittings. Very relaxing. Breakfast was hearty or if you'd eaten too much the night before (like me) a very nice light breakfast was also available. The building is very atmospheric and interesting. Trains. I can't deny that I did notice them going past but it is gone in seconds. Better than road traffic. Definitely worth a visit. We had a peek at the superior room too. Next time ....
Very friendly welcome.
Rooms were very spacious and well appointed. Location very good for touring the area, as close to A1 and yet also close to the coast. Take great care opening the gates to the property as it is between two bends in the road and feels quite dangerous. Would recomend staying here.
