Hotel Kriunes

Very friendly guest house.

Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful with local info, taxis etc. Breakfast was great. Quite far from city centre but beautiful scenery and would have been perfect if Northern Lights had appeared!

Home from Home

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting overlooking a lake, on the fringes of a housing estate and has a wonderful family feel about it.

The staff are all friendly and want you to enjoy the pleasures that Iceland has to offer. They helped us with locating great places of interest to visit, including a beautiful black sand beach, in addition to the normal tourist attractions. Booking transfers to Blue Lagoon and from there onto the Airport was not a problem. From the hotel I was also able to see the Northern Lights, right up close and personal, incredible. The rooms are decorated like a family home as apposed to your normal bulk standard hotel experience. My room had the most amazing wooden bed frame and complimentary furniture, very comfortable, warm and cosy room. They have a great lounge to relax in with hundreds of books to choose from, so you can just chill, relax and unwind. Breakfast was plentiful. Endless hot drinks on offer throughout the day for all guests.
