We were in Alton to go on one of the Watercress Line Real Ale Trains.
We chose the Crown as it is within easy walking distance of the station. The Crown is a very old building so the layout is slightly quirky. Having said that, our room was large (room 12), very clean and with a comfortable bed so had everything we needed. There was no hairdryer but we were able to borrow one from reception which was very helpful.
drunken shrieking women at the bar at 14.00. doors being opened and closed next to my room obviously by staff till god knows when. what was going on then?. This place needs a change of management!
