A disappointing overnight stay
I'm sorry to say that we were disappointed.
Lovely pub in charming village. The bed was good with clean bed linen and there were nice white towels but the paintwork was grubby and badly scuffed and the carpet dirty. We could smell burning and it turned out to be the amount of dust on the lamp bulb. Breakfast was appalling. The chef brought us two pieces of standard white sliced toast to begin with, struggled to find cereal, saying "It goes off before it gets used" then without checking what we would like or what we ate, produced two huge full breakfasts which we didn't want then blamed his bar staff as "idiots" for not having asked us what we wanted for breakfast the previous evening. Very disappointed and we will not be returning or recommending it.
Very poor rooms are very tired and grubby food was poor no one arrived in time for breakfast !.
Said they had overslept !. Would not go back !!
