Dated cheap hotel
Price was cheap including breakfast (supposedly), check in no problem.
Everything smacks of 70's or 80's. Corridor to room smelled fusty. Room was a twin, small and dated. Tv signal kept crashing. Sheets were clean. Went for breakfast at 08:15, supposed to be buffet but the hot containers were empty, 2 or 3 other tables of residents sat waiting, was told by one of them there was t enough of us for buffet so it was order only. No staff around and I had to take my daughter to school. Cornflakes all over the floor. Eventually a woman came out with somebody's cooked breakfast, she explained to the server that I was in a rush and the resident actually offered me hers but I declined as only eat certain things. The server screamed "so what do you want?" I replied there wouldn't be time so I would have to make do with coffee while my daughter had weetabix. She appeared a short while later and offered me a bacon sandwich but I told her I didn't eat bread so she said, "oh well, are you sure, no breakfast for you then!" Daughter finished so we left, complained at Reception on checking out, she couldn't care less.
The Marton Hotel and Country Club
The best thing about this hotel is the staff who are really helpful, the rooms are not clean there is Mould around the bath, I had television that if I had not an extension flex with Me I would not have been able to watch because there was no plug socket for the tv, I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.
As a result of forgetting there was a little step up into the bathroom I tripped & as a result I am now at home with 2 broken toes bear in mind this was at 06.30am.The bed every time I turned over I got the bed springs digging in my ribs great, and this was supposed to be a superior double room GOD knows what a normal double room is like.I would seriously not recomend this hotel to anyone, my best way to describe this hotel is a modern version of Faulty Towers, it needs a complete and utter refurbishment.
