Beautiful House and Gardens - Full of Character

The house is a little bit rambling and dated in places and the room was on the small side.

Having said that the staff were lovely, the food was excellent and the gardens were wonderful. This is a great place to stay, although less than 10 miles from Sheffield you are right on the edge of the Pennines with fabulous views. This is a bit quirky, with memorabilia of the Labour movement throughout the building, not the smartest place I have ever stayed in, but great value for money. I hope to be back.
