Derby Arms experience

We received a warm welcome on arrival.

The room was ok, no view to speak of, small but a nice bathroom - some soap would have helped. The food was excellent and good value for money but were let down by the service, having to wait for cutlery after each course was served. The weather had turned and it would have been better if the fire had of been lit and maybe the heating on upstairs. A good nights sleep with a comfy bed. Breakfast was good, continental and the home baked bread was a delight. Once again let down by service with no one to greet in the service area and no tea offered until the breakfast was finished.

friendly pub

Very friendly staff and good food.

There was a little confusion over our table reservations on Sunday night. But a table was brought through from another room, so all was fine. Room not clean after our first night, which surprised me. Not sure if it was over looked or just not their policy.
