The room was very basic, the bathroom reminded me of what they are like on a ship in a cabin albeit a little larger.
There were lots of noise from people walking down the corridor laughing and talking. It really needs better soundproofing. The beds were hard and so were the pillows. We paid for breakfast which I can say was only ok, the food could have been hotter. The pictures of breakfast were definitely better than the actual choice given.
The first room we were given was on the ground floor and stunk of raw sewage.
We complained and a member of staff turned up to the room with air freshener which was overbearing and made it difficult to breath. We requested a room change which the staff happily allowed and moved onto the fourth floor. Still a horrible smell in the room. The decor is very dated.
On a plus side the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Not worth the £71 I had paid. Premier inns provide much better value if you're on a budget. Unfortunately they were booked up on this occasion.
