About the hotel
The Cruachan is designed with a traditional Scottish Highland façade and whilst the hotel has been, and continues to be, sympathetically upgraded and modernised internally to provide all modern comforts, it has not lost its original character. The hotel has an enviable location overlooking Loch Linnhe and beyond the loch to the Morvern Hills. Guests can sit on the terrace outside the hotel in the summer, watching the boats on the loch and enjoying a quiet drink.
As an ongoing improvement and development at the Cruachan Hotel, we take on board feedback from all our guests. Majority of guests had stated a lift would be of beneficial. We would now like to announce that the lift project is finalized and fully operational. We will be continuing with the improvements throughout the hotel and would encourage all guests to give any feedback which will help us to improve. The Cruachan Bar is open 24 hours for the Drinks.

Check-in efficient, room fine, bedding clean, bathroom okat, linen clean.
A few blemishes on skirting-board but that happens. Cruachan Lager on tap; good to see local product on offer. Breakfast okay; overdose of beans provided. Check-out efficient. Good value for the money.
Outdated and poor quality
Awful sponge-like mattress which badly needed replacing.
Uncleaned areas of the bathroom. In bad need of decoration throughout the bedroom and bathroom. Shower head had to be held in hand because the holder wouldn't hold it properly. A hotel needing some more attention. A cheek to be charged £100 per night. We were given £10 off per night after complaining but I don't feel it was worth £90 per night either.
