Weekend getaway

The hotel was great for the money we payed.

the staff were very Polite and helpful. we payed £2 for the two days parking which I though was great. all in all I would definitely return to this hotel, it's not the Hilton but then for £40 what do you expect.

A one night stay

I agree with some previous reviews, the hotel decoration is in need of updating and the old, I mean OLD pine dressing table in our bedroom needs to be recycled into firewood.

I was however impressed by the size of the bedroom, plenty of room to move around the king size bed. We did find the master switch for the shower, very good hot water there, but we could not get any hot water out of the wash basin tap in the morning. The central heating radiators never got warm at any time, but we did not have to use the portable heater anyway. The breakfast was a disappointment, despite it being 'continental', I would have liked to see hot boiled eggs or hot scrambled eggs the would have enhanced the menu. We had to park our car about half a mile from the hotel overnight, the only available space found in the area. Despite our comments we think we would stay there again, but ONLY for one night...if we cannot find better.
