Caring place I had a great time
A well located hotel with staff who took care and trouble over the guests.
Their suggestions really helped make a good break. They were able to cater for my guten free diet. Sauna and pool nice. Very well located for the many vintage and specialist book shops, wonderful little cinema and tapas bar. All very female friendly. Very creaky floorboards but nothing can be done about those in such an old place
Cold, but lovely breakfasts
We stayed over New Year.....the room was chilly despite the heating being on.
Don't go down for breakfast early as it takes a good 30mins for the dining room to warm up. Towels weren't changed when clearly needed. Having said that, brekkie options were extensive, delicious & sustaining (no need for lunch), and swimming pool was warm & a nice relaxation after a hard day's hiking.
