Nice Hotel but loud at the weekend
The hotel overall was ok, the room was very nice and tea/coffee and bottles of water were provided.
But it was very very noisy at the weekend, especially if you need a window open due to the heat. However, they did provide earplugs but they weren't the best so take your own. The hotel could do with a separate front door to the main bar as walking past bouncers to get back to your room is a little intimidating.
The customer service was brilliant but it can't hide the fact that this hotel is very tired and needs decorating.
There are scuff marks and dents in the wall; a light didn't work and a bulb was missing in another. The door stop was lying on the carpet with the nail pointing upwards. The website does say that the weekend can be noisy, they're not wrong.
This hotel should be aimed at people who want to go out for the night and only need to sleep around dawn. If you are happy hearing noise from the club, fights and offensive language in the street then this is ok for you. If you want to relax after a days sightseeing, this is definitely not for you.
