Disappointing stay in brighton
Hotel was really just a b&b, in quite a noisy area, and despite requesting twin beds was given a double four flights up, and no offer to carry bags.
Decor was clean but jaded and despite shower not working properly, either cold or scalding hot, was not offered a reduction in the bill. On the up side view and breakfast were very good and was able to leave bags till ready to leave. Brighton itself was looking a bit grubby in streets and overall appearance and relying on previous reputation rather than product, but customer service was very good.
Cheap & cheerful
Rooms looking a little tired with threadbare carpets.
A little concerned that there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke from adjacent rooms!. Despite this, the staff were very friendly and food was very good.
