2 Night Mid-week Business Stay

Very disappointing accommodation.

Whilst London rates are of course high, I would have expected better for £168 per night. More hostel than hotel.

Room was supposed to be a family room but it was only a double with a single bed squeezed into the corner with room for nothing else but small beside cabinets. One skinny built-in wardrobe, no desk or chair (no space!) with the only drawers available were the bedside cabinet drawers.

En suite was tiny and tired, as was the shower which could do with grubby corner grout being cleaned or replaced. Toilet seat loose and its surface perished exposing the chip board base underneath. Can't be very hygienic.

No hot breakfast available, continental only which was very sparse. Tea or coffee from a vending machine. You could have had hot toast though.

Very unhappy that unread papers and magazine had been removed from bedside cabinet and dumped - I assume. Room (602) was on the ground floor adjacent to main entrance so pretty noisy. Even worse the smokers would gather outside beneath the window so noise and rising smoke meant that the window couldn't be left open. Staff were friendly enough and the location is convenient for Paddington. Not much else going for it I'm afraid. Fine for backpackers, but I don't see backpackers paying £168 a night!

Booked to stay in a triple room, room was tiny & small, there was no wall lights so had to use main light for majority of stay.

Also there was no hot water in the bathroom, luke warm at most so having a cold shower before my meeting isn't good.
