A bit disappointing
The only room available was a 2 bedroom apartment, but we went with that, although there was only the 2 of us and we were only staying 1 night.
The wifi signal is not strong enough to use, we didn't really use the kitchen facilities, but didn't see any teatowels if we had tried cooking there. Bathroom had a shower curtain, but the shower was hand held. Very hot weather so window was open, but very noisy early in the morning with deliveries. The restaurant seemed to be in melt down - they brought the wrong meal for us and there seemed to be quite a few other tables with late or none appearing orders. They did apologize, took the correct dish back to keep warm while they prepared the one that they got wrong and didn't charge us for it, so they did their best to put it right. We said we'd have a break before dessert while we finished our wine, and they said they'd bring the menus in the meantime, but we gave up after half an hour and didn't bother (better for the waistline that way :) ). Breakfast was good, but it took a while for them to notice we were there - coffee was serve service from flask, but was cold.
Spent a Saturday night here but unfortunately got a room above the pub area from which you could hear all the drunken ramblings of the punters.
Finally went down about 11.50pm to ask when the pub was due to close so I could get some sleep. They knew what I was talking about and moved the remaining punters to another section of the pub but unfortunately the damage was done.
All in all, they knew what the issue was and reacted accordingly but not something I wanted to have to deal with when looking for a relaxing evening away, nor after forking out the £130 price tag for the night. I'd suggest for those that do stay, request that you don't get put in one of the rooms above the pub. Although you may be fine if you're a heavy sleeper or there on a quiet week night.
Otherwise, we did enjoy the food which was good value.
