(Ex) Smoking room and difficult location...
I only needed the room for a few hours sleep before catching a flight from Milano Linate.
Despite having booked a double room, I discovered when entering the room that they gave us two single beds. When I told the reception, I was moved (quite quickly, thank you!) to a double room, however, this was an ex-smoking room and the smell of it was still lingering around. When asked for a non-smoking double room, I was told they had none left. The hotel is nice and of good quality, however, it's quite hard to find without a GPS as there is no sign-post anywhere and it's quite remote into an industrial estate.
None of the convenience of an airport hotel - all of the cost...
Look on the map, this airport hotel is within a stone's throw from the airport.
Great for an early morning flight. No. Arrive on a Friday and you will go hungry as there is no restaurant and no room service. It's in the middle of nowhere so unless you're happy to jump in a cab it's no dinner for you. Apparently the restaurant closes for the weekend. So there must be a shuttle bus. No. It is a €20 (yes 20) cab fare to the airport. It is much cheaper to stay in town (where there are signs of life / restaurants etc) and just take the €35 cab in from there. It will cost you €35 anyway to get from Milan to this hotel, so you'll pay €35 plus €20 the next day to stay at this hotel. Unless you happen to be in this area and need to stay here, you are better off staying into Milan itself. This is not a convenient airport hotel at all. Otherwise, check in and out is friendly and convenient. Taxi's arrive quite quickly although you are paying about €8 for them just to turn up!. Bedroom is comfortable but fittings in the shower pretty low quality and low pressure water. Internet is very slow and limited to 100mb max download - no use if you are trying to watch a movie, or download files for work. This is an expensive hotel for what it is. Do not think this qualifies in any way as an airport hotel as it has NONE of the convenience of such. One to avoid (a shame as generally I really like the NH brand)
