About the hotel

An eighteenth century Inn on the water front close to The Ironbridge. The White Hart has been around since before The Bridge was built and almost certainly accommodated craftsman and construction workers during the building of the bridge. There is also evidence to suggest that on occasions some of these workmen also used the bar! The upstairs Dining Room has fantastic views over the River Severn from almost every table and is open Monday to Saturday evenings.

The menu is fine dining style and a copy can be found on our website 'Eat' page. . The Bar and Terrace is open everyday from 11am for coffees, cakes, tapas and light lunches. We serve sunday lunch from noon until 4pm and a supper menu on sunday evenings until 8pm – The White Hart has five refurbished double rooms all with en suite bath or shower, including a family room for 4. For more information visit our website. Please note that we do not have a car park but there is normally ample parking on the road outside the pub for evenings or the long stay car park is on the far side of the Iron Bridge where the charge is £3 for 24 hours. Its best to pull up near the pub and check in first, we'll then direct you to the car park.

Lovely stay

We stayed at The White Hart for a short break.

The hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff absolutely delightful. The room was spacious and well equipped and the bed very very comfortable. The food was delicious but a little too expensive for us to eat there every day. We were lucky to get a parking space close by each time, but there is a big public car park only 10 minutes walk away if there is no on-street parking available. The hotel is decorated and furnished in an elegantly understated way which feels comfortable and friendly. We had a lovely time and would recommend The White Hart to other travellers.

When we drove up to The White Hart we were disappointed about the lack of parking, but this soon evaporated as we were provided with a permit.

The staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough to help. The food was excellent but a little pricey. The room was nice and light and airy and overlooked the river. I can't wait to stay there again. N. Manchester.
