Nice hotel but poor customer service

We arrived at the hotel and were allocated a disabled room as no other rooms where available which wasn't a problem, but we then went to the room and tried to make a cup of tea using the kettle in the room which resulted in all the electricity going off in the room, we tried to call reception via the phone in the room but after minutes of it just ringing out and no one answering we went down to reception, the sent someone up to look at the problem, which turned out to be the kettle - the guy commented that we were only staying for one night so he won't go to the bother of changing it!.

He said they would provide free hot drinks in the morning if needed. We then called room service for some drinks and had to ring them twice to chase them up - they took nearly 20 mins. Then at 5am in the morning the phone was going off in the room, which we thought was a mistake so didn't answer, this was followed by someone banging on the door, we answer to find one of the staff asking us if everything was ok, as the disabled alarm was going off in reception for our room, we told them that we'd been asleep and hadn't touched anything!. When we got up we repeatedly tried to call room service to order hot drinks but after several attempts there was no answer. We then checked out and told the receptionist everything that had happened, they offered us a free breakfast, which was greatly appreciated but still charged us for the drinks we'd ordered from room service?.

The staff at breakfast were very uphelpful and it wasn't clear what we could order and what we couldn't - I ordered scrambled egg, salmon and toast, which eventually turned up with no toast and very watery eggs. At this point I was very happy to leave the hotel and we won't be going back!

Excellent customer services & accommodation.

We upgraded to executive & received entrance into the executive lounge & breakfast, which was fabulous.
