Friendly and quiet B&B

Stayed 1 night, and it was everything a B&B should be: friendly, clean, quiet, comfortable, with great breakfast including freshly-prepared fruit, range of cereals, teas and coffee, as well as a full cooked breakfast.

One tip: I booked late (less than an hour before arrival) and the owners were out, and the weak phone signal in the area meant they did not get their message from LateRooms, but I'd recommend the Wheatsheaf across the road - a very civilised pub which serves good food.

Best breakfast in a cosy country retreat

A lovely B & B, but breakfast not included in price.

But it was the best breakfast we had in a week of staying at different BnBs in SE UK, so it was worth paying for. Pub over the road is expensive, & also in nearest town, Thrapston pubs. Only other choices are Indian & Chinese.
