About the hotel

The Rose & Crown is a superb example of a traditional forest inn, set in a pretty cottage garden. Dating back to the 13th century the welcome it offers visitors to the New Forest is as warm now as it has been through the centuries. Accommodation consists of 14 contemporary en-suite bedrooms, some of which are delightfully located in a converted stable block.

Nice Pub

Nice pub in the New Forrst.

Room was a bit old fashioned but they supply bottled water which was a nice touch.

The reaturaunt seemed to be trying to be a Gastro type experience but didn't really pull it off. I would probably eat out if I stayed again. The satff were very helpful and friendly although there was a bit of a mix up over the booking they did sort it out in the end

Very welcoming manager was on hand to check us in and show the accomadation, the dining etc.

We had evening meal in the bar restaurant which was good pub grub. Staff in bar and restaurant really chatty and always smiling manager was also around chatting to customers. Fan from kitchen outlet was noisy and could be heard in room but it did go off at 10.00pm which was okay.hairdryer provided and kettle which is always welcome all in all a pleasant stay.
