LateRooms.com does not work very well with this hotel
Hotel is average, we stayed because it is walking distance to Chorley hospital.
Rooms are OK, in need of some TLC by owner (electric towel holder broken off wall and sitting on floor, fist sized hole in bathroom door, black mold under bath mat). Most annoying however is that the Hartwood Hotel did not honor our reservation through this site. They only had one room instead of the two we booked. Hence the title of this review. The person who checked us in said, "this happens all the time". Although we did book one more night at the hotel, we deliberately avoided for subsequent nights.
Exactly is not well not quite executive
I was told when I arrived that I was able to pay by American Express and I spent 15 minutes trying to pay when I was eventually told that you were not able to pay by this method so why do you laterooms and other booking websites say that you offer American express as a payment method
There is no shampoo or soap in the hotel room whatsoever
I had to ask her and an additional towel because the tower was there was very small
Contacting you with the internal telephone by dialling one was incredibly difficult I wasn't able to get hold of reception to ask for some soap
I was told that the availability for the next couple of nights was going to be fine so when I called later this evening I was told there was no other rooms available apart from a single room which is very misleading
The Jacuzzi didn't work so what's the point of having a Jacuzzi in an executive room that doesn't operate at all I simply had to pour it as a normal bath and sit sideways it as it is shaped like a cashew
