Walford Court, Walford , Ludlow, SY7 0JT
Walford Court is a characterful 500 year old black and white property situated in the countryside 9 miles from Ludlow in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walford Court is steeped in history, having a medieval frieze which depicts the return of the newlyweds Catherine of Aragon and Prince Arther to Ludlow castle in the 16th century. We even have our own motte and bailey, a registered ancient monument upon which once stood Walford Castle!
Come here to relax and de-stress, soak in a roll top bath, open a bottle of wine, dine in our beautiful dining room in front of a log burning fire with views through the leaded windows onto our pretty garden.
All our rooms are very large and designed to pamper, with complimentary robes, bubble baths and scented candles.
It's an area full of pretty villages, olde worlde pubs and historic houses, interesting antique shops, and great walks.
A truly unspoilt and quintessential English countryside experience.

Take the A4113 off the A49 just north of Ludlow, signed Leintwardine and
Knighton. Its a scenic route and you'll go through Leintwardine, past the
Lion Hotel on your right then over the old stone bridge, the next right
turning again signed Knighton and Walford is the one you want. This road
takes you into Walford - take a left turning signed Lingen and Presteigne,
then an immediate left up a narrow leafy lane, go past Walford Grange on
your left and continue for about 50 metres, pass the Motte House barn, and
as the lane bends to the right, look left and you'll see a double wooden
gate, you should recognise the house from the pictures! Just park on the
left side of the drive in front of the house.
If you are using a Sat Nav please use the postcode SY7 0JT - do not key in
Walford - like most small hamlets we share the name with a few other places!
A little warning if you are planning to arrive later - it is quite dark in
the country! Beautiful starry skies as no light pollution but we do
recommend you keep these directions with you!!
